Social Marketing, also called web 2.0, are places on the Internet people can interact socially on a massive scale. People can post their comments, thoughts, opinions and even upload pictures. 10 years ago, you couldn't do that on the Internet....which is why it's called, web 2.0, the second wave of the Internet.

There are 6 major categories in social marketing:

All you need to do is to use specific key words people are typing on the search engines in your content....whether it's an ezine article, squidoo article or blog and your information will show up on major search engines like google and yahoo. As you get more  advanced, you can start linking your articles, blogs and videos together and move higher up on the search engines. And, more people will find you and you'll have free leads for your network marketing business. You have the potential of being on the first page of google without paying a penny! There are people who are paying $2 and $3 a click. Eventually, you want to have all 6 categories to work together to create a swarm of traffic and attract a huge amount of qualified prospects for your internet business.

Twitter: Business Tips For Twitter

Written on September 4, 2009 – 11:27 am | by | Tweet this! Tweet that! All people talk about is Twitter. Is Twitter really that popular? Yes! So many people, businesses and even the media use Twitter. To top it all off, Obama's Presidential campaign used twitter and you saw how successful it was for him. Twitter is very popular and a great tool for marketing for a few reasons. First, it's easy to use. And, it's totally different from the other social media sites. Also, Twitter allows you to find a target audience who choose to stay in tune with what you have to say. And, of course, Twitter is lots of fun. ......But there's a right and wrong way to use Twitter for your business. For starters, create a following of people who are in your field or niche. If you have several niches, then create separate twitter accounts for those different niches. It doesn't make sense to make "tweets" about golfing tips when you have a group of followers interesting in baking. Keep in mind, twitter is not meant to be use to just promote "you". In order to use twitter as a successful marketing tool, you've to focus on your followers rather than yourself. With this in mind, tweet links to content giving valuable information relating to your followers' interest. And, as new people follow you, send friendly "non-spam" messages to them. Telling people to check all of your other websites and affiliate links in the first message will get you nowhere. You have to show concern for your followers’ needs by asking questions that create interest. So, let's get started! Click here to create a free Twitter account. While you are twittering, make sure you follow me here.
