Ezine Marketing: Different Types of Ezines Ads

Ezines, electronic magazines, are similar to offline newsletters, except they are delivered via email. It's not spam because people who subscribe to ezines ask for more information about the topic that interests them. Ezines vary in different topics such as golf, business, cooking, sports, pets and much more. Some ezines have 5 subscribers and other ezines have a million subscribers. Just like offline magazines and newsletters, ezine publishers offset the cost of publishing by selling advertising-----this is where you can get in front of your perfect avatar (prospect). The key to ezine advertising is to place your ads in the right niche. Don't try to sell your golf products to cat lovers or place an ad about bicycles in a cooking ezine. Marketing your products and services to the right people. You get the idea. Another thing you want to keep in mind with ezine advertising is to understand the various types ads you can place in an ezine:
  • Advertorial-A special ad that are very effective yet hard to find. It appears to be an article but it is an ad.
  • Classified Ad-A 3-5 line small text ad to build curiosity; not used to sell products.
  • Banner Ad-A flashy attention getter ad with an html link to sell a product or service.
  • Solo Ad-An ad that is sent to the subscribers by itself in an email; usually more expensive than the other forms of ezine ads.
  • Sponsor Ad-A 12-15 line ad that can appear at the top of the ezine (top sponsor, middle of the ezine (middle sponsor) or at the bottom of the ezine (bottom sponsor); top sponsor ads cost the most and bottom sponsor ads cost the least.
Now, you may be wandering where you can find ezines.... Well, there are few places you can go. There's Charlie Page's Directory of Ezines. You can use Google's or any other search engine; just make sure you use the advance search feature. And, you can always go on different forums and ask people about various ezines. Want A Home-Based Business? Consider Network Marketing

Date: 21 Jan 2010 Comments:0 Let's face it, people go to school to become a doctor or lawyer but not a network marketer. Yet, millions of people are starting a home base business everyday. And, why not? A good network marketing business can give you the best of both worlds; time and money. For starters, you can start your own business without the large upfront cost compare to traditional businesses. You are working with people who want you to succeed. Earning a residual income and having financial freedom is always a plus. And, of course, all of this leads to having your time back and doing whatever you want. Who wouldn't want that? I definitely do. It's the light a the end of the tunnel, right? Well, it's not that simple....here's my story. And, I know my story is very familiar to most people in the MLM industry. Like most mlmers, I was stuck in the rat race and then I was presented with a golden business opportunity. I seized the moment and went to work. I made out my friends and family list, passed out flyers, placed an ad in the paper, got on the conference calls, went to house and hotel meetings, flew to the company conventions and let's not forget....prospected everyone in sight. You name it. I did it. I did all this hard work just to be disappointed in an overly saturated market. Well, I tried network marketing again. I worked just as hard as I did before. But, only this time I was disappointed when the company went out of business. All of my time, effort and money went down the drain. Even after this experience, I still believed in network marketing and made my 3rd attempt in MLM. I had a great product and compensation plan. I threw my heart into building my MLM business. However, after a few months I wasn't any closer to financial freedom as I was when I first started. There had to be a better way....then I finally found the answer. I learned a new network marketing strategy and reversed the tactic....attracting my target market to me instead of chasing people around. The Benefits of A Home Based Business

Date: 17 Jan 2010 Comments:0 Some time ago, I had a major decision to make between investing in a condo complex in Florida and buying a much needed new car. My former boss told me it was a horrible time to buy into real estate. He suggested I buy a really fancy BMW. And, he confidently said and I quote, "A monthly car payment of $500.00 or $600.00 will keep you focus. You'll put in a lot of hours and work harder." And, he finished up by saying,"Being in debt is a great motivator."All the other bosses and managers agreed with him. He knew renting out a condo near Disney will potentially give me financial stability but owning a car depreciating in value every day will keep me working hard. The funny part about this whole thing....everyone who told me not to invest in the condo owned a few real estate properties themselves. This shouldn't shock you. My boss wasn't any different than any other boss out there. I'm sure the boss mentality of "build my dreams and lavish life" is a major reason why home base businesses are such a popular trend nowadays. Social Media/Web 2.0: Is It A Fad Or A New Way Of Life?

Social Marketing, also called web 2.0, are places on the Internet people can interact socially on a massive scale. People can post their comments, thoughts, opinions and even upload pictures. 10 years ago, you couldn't do that on the Internet....which is why it's called, web 2.0, the second wave of the Internet.

There are 6 major categories in social marketing:

All you need to do is to use specific key words people are typing on the search engines in your content....whether it's an ezine article, squidoo article or blog and your information will show up on major search engines like google and yahoo. As you get more  advanced, you can start linking your articles, blogs and videos together and move higher up on the search engines. And, more people will find you and you'll have free leads for your network marketing business. You have the potential of being on the first page of google without paying a penny! There are people who are paying $2 and $3 a click. Eventually, you want to have all 6 categories to work together to create a swarm of traffic and attract a huge amount of qualified prospects for your internet business.
